There are three groupings of cups, saucers, sugars and creamers found in Lu-Ray. Below is a brief summary:

  • Regular Style
This set is part of the standard line. Creamers, sugars and saucers came directly from the Empire line, but the teacup was was designed specifically for Lu-Ray.

  • Chocolate Style
These are generic TS&T shapes which, along with a straight-sided coffeepot, formed the original demitasse set. The set was not in production very long and was replaced by a set which was more in step with the Empire shape. To aviod confusion, collectors adopted the term, "Chocolate Set" (which is an older term used to describe very ornate demitasse sets from Victorian era) when refering to the older straight style version.

  • Demitasse (AD) Style
All the pieces of the chocolate set were replaced by the demitasse set which was based on the Empire shape. These items are not as wide as their regular counterparts.
