The bud vases shown were made at Hall China. The two blue ones were made by Terry Sfakis when he worked at Hall in the 1960s. The blue colors are not applied but are in the clay itself. On the left is a blue-white "slag" vase and to the right is a solid pastel blue version. Both have a smooth openings.The second photo shows another style of bud vase, this time with a ruffled opening. It was produced in a porcelian body and is translucent.

Both styles of bud vases are shown with Autumn Leaf treatments in Ken & Margaret Whitmyer's The Collector's Encyclopedia of Hall China, Second Edition, on page 37.
